What I Am Involved In
I own two companies that I intend to keep privately held, invest in several others, and outside of this I will do select consulting a few times per year, as this opens additional opportunities and keeps me fresh with a few of the things that I still enjoy doing (which is typically unlocking growth strategies for digital agencies).

Advisory
In select cases, I work with companies seeking to drive growth while fostering healthy company cultures (often the two go hand-in-hand). I advise on all aspects of org structure, P/L, revenue growth, operations and company culture, business valuation, and positioning for and enabling liquidity events.
Since the conclusion of my sale of Techwood in 2023, I have worked with four companies, and have already helped one complete a successful transaction (while preserving and improving company culture). Investing
I have founded and am the lead investor in Shift (pictured are my business partner Jonathan Brandt and I at the top of Grand Teton in 2021), and have minority invested in two other businesses (confidential) that are outside of the digital marketing industry but are mid-market companies seeking to grow and to eventually create liquidity in the form of value for both the founders as well as the employees. I have also provided strategic capital in the form of private finance for select companies, and have formed and funded a small private equity portfolio with a limited number of partners that is focused on culture, prizing employees, and value creation for all (employees, owners, investors).

Passions
Outside of traditional "work", I have a number of passions. First and foremost, I'm a husband and a dad, and these are my most important (and most treasured) jobs. Next, I'm the drummer for Engedi Music, which was signed to Capitol Records on a multi-year artist distribution deal in 2024. We have recorded four projects: Yeshua (2022), A.S.K. (2023), Still Do Miracles (2024, only two singles are out, and the full album will drop in February of '25), and a fourth project that was recorded in November of 2024 (release date late 2025 / early 2026, 12 songs, confidential), I tracked drumset for half of Yeshua and then all of the remaining projects. The purpose of Engedi Music is to bring hope to those who are looking for something, more than what perhaps this life can offer, and to hopefully be a bridge to the peace and OK-ness that comes from a relationship with a God who loves you so much (more so than we can fathom or imagine).
Aside from the above, I am an avid reader (fiction / suspense / spy thrillers are my favorite), enjoy being active, and am a big NBA fan.
